Spring is a time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, flowers blooming, and warmer weather. Every Spring, I love to make a centerpiece for our dining room table.
It’s an easy way to add color and fill the house with fresh flowers! This can be enjoyed in your home as well with some simple decorations that will make your house feel like it’s Spring!
In this blog post, I will be showing you three ways how to create a simple spring centerpiece for any table in your house.
Alternative 1
Materials;
- 2-3 bunches of flowers; I chose daisies, but any flowers will work.
- 1 vase if possible (if not, just use a container of some sort) to put the flowers in.
- Trimmings for vase or container (optional)
- Scissors for cutting flowers
- Floral foam
- Water for the flowers
Instructions:
Step 1 – Decide how many flowers you will need. Take that amount of bunches and cut off any excess stems on the bottom.
This will help ensure that all your flower heads are about the same height, giving an even look to your spring centerpiece!
Step 2 – Arrange your flowers in your vase. This part will be up to you, depending on the flowers you choose, and how you want it to look! I like to alternate between different colors of flowers every other row.
Step 3 – Once all your flowers are in their places, put some floral foam at the bottom of your vase/container. This will help keep the flowers in place and hydrated for a longer time.
Step 4 – Fill your vase with water, making sure to get all the floral foam wet.
Step 5 – Place your Spring centerpiece wherever you please! I like to put mine on our dining room table, but it would look just as beautiful on a kitchen table, coffee table, or even on the porch!
Alternative 2
Materials:
- 1 Container (I prefer glass, but you can use anything of your choice)
- 1 roll of floral tape (this is optional but makes the process much easier. You can use regular scotch tape if needed)
- 1-2 bunches of flowers. You can use any other flower that blooms in the Spring. Avoid anything too tall for this project unless you want your centerpiece to be taller than usual)
- Water
- Floral foam (optional, but recommended)
Instructions:
Step 1 – Decide how many flowers you will need. If needed, cut the bottom of your stems off so that they are all around the same height.
This will help ensure that all your flower heads are about the same size, giving an even look to your spring centerpiece!
Step 2 – Put the floral tape around each stem of flowers. I like to do this because it keeps them in place for longer when arranging them in your container, making it less likely for them to fall over.
Step 3 – Arrange your flowers in your container. This part will be up to you, depending on the flowers you choose, and how you want it to look! I like to alternate between different colors of flowers every other row.
Step 4 – Once all your flowers are in their places, put some floral foam at the bottom of your container. This will help keep your flowers in place and hydrated for a longer time.
Step 5 – Fill your container with water, making sure to get all the floral foam wet. This will give an even cut flower look to your Spring centerpiece.
Step 6 – Place your Spring centerpiece wherever you please! I like to put mine on our dining room table, but it would look just as beautiful on a kitchen table, coffee table, or even on the porch!
Alternative 3

- 2 bunches of flowers. I chose baby’s breath, but any flowers will work
- A vase if possible, but you can also use a container to put the flowers in.

Step 3 – Arrange your flowers in your container. This part will be up to you, depending on the flowers that you choose, and how you want it to look!
This will give an even cut flower look for your Spring centerpiece.
